poppin johnny

For those of you who don't know, and asked here is "Poppin Johnny"! Our fully restored Model H John Deere. I forget what year it is. I know, my bad. But when it runs it sounds like it is popping. So that is the name it was given. And for those of you who don't know this tractor was actually my great grand fathers first tractor. On my mothers side! Kinda cool how we got it.
No this is not our place, it's where we had it stored temporarily. My boy loves it, and has driven it around too.
Have a great day all!

  3. You could hear one coming down the road for several miles, a wonderful sound to hear these days. I like that old mower on it.

  6. Very cool!
The way that you've restored it so beautifully, and have an appreciation of it being a family heirloom, has made me love that green :)
Red tractors are my true loves, but I'd have to say now,
I need to add your 'Poppin Johnny' to my tractor love list :)

    1. We did not restore it. A relative of mine that had it did the work, took him 3 years I think. He did a beautiful job. Thanks for adding it to your list of loving tractors. It's kinda special.

  7. Was this on the Peterson side or the Lynds side? (Ks connection)
