That quote is so true. My mother kept an immaculate house but she was a slave to it which kept her from just enjoying her children. I was not, am not, much of a housekeeper but I thoroughly enjoyed my kidlets. We did lots of messy cooking but to this day, they are all 30+ yrs old, they say they loved it. There is plenty of time to worry about cleaning the house, after playing with the dogs, tending livestock, gardening, reading blogs and well maybe not today. There is always tomorrow. An old friend once told me,"you fight dirt all your life and then they bury you in it".
